Where the Marc Jacobs bag range stands in 2026
The handbags on the US site fall into named families, not one wall of leather. The Tote Bag, The Snapshot, The Scene, Crossbody Bags, Mini Bags, Shoulder Bags and Totes fill out the marc jacobs store navigation, 312 styles in all. WHP Global and G-III Apparel Group acquired the brand from LVMH on 1 September 2026, so ownership changed, with Marc Jacobs holding as Founder and Creative Director. One catch: the site labels every price “SALE PRICE,” including full-price stock, so a bag is only truly reduced when a “REGULAR PRICE” shows beside it. As of September 2026, all figures here are US dollars on marcjacobs.com in the US, and prices differ by country and change without notice. Plenty of people search “marc jacob,” but the label is Marc Jacobs, plural.
The Tote Bag
This flagship line counts 105 styles and launched in 2019, drawn from archival designs. “No more Birkins, only Tote Bags” is the framing line the brand attributes to Jacobs, and it sums up the positioning. A wide rectangle with rounded top handles is the form, with the name in oversized block letters, debossed on leather and closed by a top zip. One interior zip pocket and two slip pockets go inside The Canvas Medium, which measures 13in by 6in by 11in in cotton canvas. Straps trip people up: Crossbody, Small and Medium include a removable adjustable webbing strap, while the Canvas Large does not. Canvas arrives at about $150, $178, $198 and $228 by size, jacquard at about $325 and $350, and full-grain leather at about $398, $498 and $598. Because it is the cheapest route to a recognizable marc jacobs handbag, commuters and students arrive here first.
The Snapshot
With thirty styles here, this is the bag most people picture when they hear the name. Conceived in a Parisian studio by the brand’s account, it was shaped after a camera bag and debuted on the runway. Tricolor colorblocking and the signature double-J hardware sit on a small, boxy body of 7in by 2in by 4in. A 27in drop on the removable webbing strap, Saffiano leather with a faille lining and a dual top zipper rather than a flap describe it. The core band runs about $325 to $328, taking in the Snapshot DTM and the Colorblock Chain Snapshot, while the Vintage Floral version and Snapshot E/W Shoulder Bag sit near $358. The buyer here carries a phone, cards and a lipstick and wants the bag noticed.
The Scene
Carrying 70 styles, The Scene is the newest family to win its own place in the navigation. What it includes is a group rather than a shape: Small, Medium and Large Shoulder Bags, two Buckets, a Convertible Mini, a Chain Mini and a Wallet on Chain. Leather, crinkle leather, suede and denim fill the material list, the widest spread of any line here. These are not top-handle bags: carry is on the shoulder, or on a slim metal chain for the chain versions. Pricing opens near $198 for the Scene Convertible Mini Bag and $228 for the Scene Wallet on Chain. The Scene Small Shoulder Bag at $298 and the Scene Small Bucket at $358 sit above that, and the Scene Large Shoulder Bag tops the band out near $698. Softer and far less logo-forward than the Tote is the pitch for the buyer this suits.
The Sack Bag
What the brand calls a slouchy throw-over-your-shoulder silhouette in premium leather, The Sack Bag first appeared on the 2022 runway. It slumps against the body rather than holding a rectangle. A magnetic closure, an adjustable belted shoulder strap, an internal zip pocket, cotton twill lining and a 12in handle drop make up The Belted Sack Bag, the reference version in full-grain leather. The line starts at The Micro Crossbody Sack Bag near $198, passes the Small Belted Sack Bag around $298 and reaches $498. Seasonally, bow-detailed denim and nylon show at roughly $258 and $358, alongside leopard nylon and canvas cargo versions near $398. Quicker than a zip, and less secure, a magnet works for people who hate hardware fuss better than crowded transit.
The Dual Bag
A famous story and a thin shelf: The Dual Bag has the most public origin story here and the thinnest current shelf presence. The brand says it first drew attention at the 2024 Met Gala after-party, when Dua Lipa paired it with her look, after debuting on the Fall ’23 runway. The Spring 2025 campaign with Emily Ratajkowski put it front and center, and it returned in Summer 2025 led by Doja Cat. As of 29 September 2026 it appears mainly in the MARCDOWN sale section rather than the main assortment. Against a regular price of about $495, The Large Dual Bag was listed around $297 — one of the few cases where both prices display. The shopper it suits took to the campaign imagery and will buy from what remains rather than a full color run.
Structured totes: Cristina, Dakota, Babe and Pop J Marc
The site holds a Totes category of 47 structured styles and a Shoulder Bags category of 80 apart from The Tote Bag. In contrast to the soft canvas carryalls, these leather bags hold their shape. Around $658, The Grommet Charm Cristina Tote is filed under Shoulder Bags because it gets carried that way, while The Cristina Tote sits near $398. At about $798 sits The Dakota Tote, the dearest bag in the Totes category. Three points cover Babe: the Babe Mini Vanity Bag near $178, the Babe Mini Top Handle at roughly $298 and the Babe City Tote around $598. About $398 gets you the Pop J Marc Work Tote, with a Small Work Tote near $298, and these are the marc jacobs bags for a working week.
Heaven by Marc Jacobs
Launched in September 2020 and art-directed from the start by Ava Nirui, Heaven is the youth-facing sub-label. The brand’s wording for it is a gateway into the sprawling and enigmatic omniverse of Marc Jacobs subversion. Bags land between roughly $150 and $250 and tees from around $65, across 153 products in all. Nothing but the canvas Tote gives a cheaper way into a marc jacobs bag. Among current stock is a David Rappeneau Shoulder Bag near $175, an artist name carried on the product itself. No successor was named when Nirui’s exit was reported in January 2026, so Heaven’s creative direction now is not brand-confirmed.

The lines side by side
Shape, materials and the US price band shown on 29 September 2026 sit against each current family in the table. Across sizes and fabrications, the bands are ranges, not one price for one bag. At the bottom sit canvas and Heaven, and the top to leather and the largest Scene styles. Price follows material more than size: the same medium Tote is about $198 in canvas and $498 in leather. In the Dual Bag row the figure is a markdown, not a standing price. Prices here are US dollars on marcjacobs.com; they vary by country and currency and change without notice.

Names people still search for that the US site no longer carries
Disappointment on the US site is where all four of these constantly searched names end up. Search for the J Marc shoulder bag or saddle bag and you get jewelry, sunglasses, shoes, ready-to-wear and the Pop J Marc Work Tote instead, since neither is currently sold. The St. Marc is not carried in the current assortment either, and a search returns only a handful of Canal St apparel items. The Duffle is absent as well, with no duffle bag in the results for that term. A Monogram tote rounds off the four, because the current canvas totes are plain cotton canvas with block-letter branding. All four are archive names rather than current marc jacobs bag lines, so be skeptical of sellers offering them as new stock. Items bought from an authorized vendor, with proof of purchase, are the only ones the one-year manufacturing-defect warranty covers.
